Update!

Well blood pressure is high again.. The craziness of both kids in school.. The holidays.. And very busy schedules.. I've got very slack on my diet and exercise routine.. I was doing so well and even got off my bp meds.. But the headaches started again right before Christmas .. I had my bp checked, it was so high.. Had an appointment made with the dr and she put me back on hctz.. After 3 days on the hctz I was still having chest pains and pressure along with the heart palpitations and bad headaches my bp was 166/102.. I spent a lot of time in bed trying to relax and relieve the headaches.. After about a week I started feeling better but my bp was still a little high running around 140/85 at rest .. Friday I had my 2 week check up at the office my bp was 156/108 so my doctor decided to put me on Lisinopril after only 2 days I've seen a big difference especially in the bottom number 140/80 But needless to say I'm back on my diet and hopefully back to exercising once this medicine really starts working.. Ill be working on some new recipes that I will share on the blog and I'm also in search of a smoothie recipe for breakfast.. Something that I can add spinach in but not have the spinach taste!! I'll keep you updated on that also!!! I added the blogger app on my iPhone in hopes of keeping up better with my post.. (Mom on the go here).... I'll try not to get slack this time !!

On a side note... I've struggled with my having high bp.. I'm not over weight an am otherwise a healthy person.. Two of my sisters have low blood pressure and I just don't understand why now I'm having this issue.. But I'm trying to accept that this is an issue that I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. It's controllable but I have to maintain a healthy lifestyle to be able to get off of the meds.. I have to stay determined.. Slacking off is not an option.. High blood pressure can lead to so many other life threatening problems..
